ErrandGo works because clients and runners can trust each other. These are the protections built into the app and the habits that keep everyone safe.
For everyone
- Keep communication in the app. The errand chat keeps a record we can check if something goes wrong.
- Never share your M-Pesa PIN, your login code or your delivery code with anyone who asks for it by phone or message. ErrandGo staff will never ask for them.
- If you feel unsafe at any point, leave the situation first and report it after. Your safety matters more than the errand.
- In an emergency call 999 or 112. Then tell us through Help in the app, choosing Safety as the category, so we can act on our side.
For clients
- Check that the runner's name in the app matches the person at your door.
- Give the delivery code only once the items are in your hands. The code is your proof that the handover happened.
- Meet at the door, the gate or a reception desk. There is no need to let a runner into your home.
- Do not ask a runner to carry anything illegal, dangerous or that you would not want opened. Prohibited items are listed in our terms.
- Rate honestly. Ratings are how we find the runners who do great work and the few who should not be on the platform.
For runners
- Only accept errands you can complete safely. You can decline anything that looks wrong.
- Photograph receipts for anything you buy before you leave the shop.
- If the delivery address feels unsafe, stop somewhere public and message the client to meet you there.
- Wear a helmet on a motorbike or bicycle, carry your licence and follow traffic rules. No errand is worth an accident.
- Never hand over items without the delivery code. If the client says no code arrived, ask them to tap Send a new code in the app.
Reporting a problem
Open Help in the app and create a ticket with the Safety category, or call the support number. Tell us the errand reference, what happened and when. Safety reports are handled first, and we may suspend an account while we look into a serious report.
